Amber Coleman-Mortley has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Amber is currently working at The Female Quotient as the Senior Director of Community and Culture, where they started in October 2022. Prior to this role, they were the Director of FQ Innovation at the same company from April 2022 to October 2022, and the Director of Program Development / Partnerships from August 2021 to April 2022.

In addition to their roles at The Female Quotient, Amber has also worked at Let's K12 Better as the host of the Let's K12 Better Podcast since March 2020. Amber is the owner and operator of Mom Of All Capes, a parent/education blog that they started in October 2013.

Amber has experience in advocacy and social engagement, having worked as the Chief Avenger at GenderAvenger from September 2021 to October 2022, and as a Social Media Manager (Consultant) at GenderAvenger from 2018 to 2021.

Amber also has a background in digital media management, having served as the Director of Social Engagement at iCivics Inc. from January 2019 to July 2021, the Digital Media Manager from August 2014 to December 2018, and a Customer Advocate from February 2014 to August 2014. Amber worked as a Digital Media Manager (Consultant) at WiseThink Health Solutions from 2017 to 2018.

Amber has showcased their writing skills as a blogger for Disruptive Women in Health Care from October 2013 to 2015 and served as the Director of Innovation for the I am Nation Campaign from April 2011 to November 2014.

Earlier in their career, they held multiple roles at NATION Athletics, LLC from January 2011 to May 2014, including Marketing Director, Programs Director, and Track Coach.

Amber Coleman-Mortley holds a Master's degree in Media Entrepreneurship, which they obtained from American University between 2013 and 2015. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in African-American/Black Studies from Oberlin College, where they attended from 2000 to 2004. In terms of secondary education, Amber's high school education took place at Maple Heights High School, but the specific years and any degrees or field of study related to that period are not provided. Additionally, they have obtained a certification as a founding member of the Grapevine institution's "Black History Month, Every Month" program in July 2022.
