Layla Abdi is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in community engagement and support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Currently serving as the Regional Community Coordinator at The Arc Minnesota since March 2022, Layla Abdi leads partnership-building efforts and facilitates educational initiatives aimed at raising awareness about the challenges faced by people with I/DD and their families. Prior roles include Direct Support Professional at CARDINAL OF MINNESOTA, LTD, and Culturally Responsive Family, Friend and Neighbor Resource Liaison at Families First of MN. Layla Abdi holds a Master of Arts in Leadership with a focus on Organizational Leadership and a Bachelor of Arts in Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language from Augsburg University, complemented by a CELTA certificate from the University of Cambridge.
