Alexander Cochran

Alexander Cochran, ESQ has extensive experience in government affairs and advocacy. Alexander is currently serving as the Chief Advocacy Officer at The American Institute of Architects, where they manage a diverse team and directs advocacy strategies at federal, state, local, and international levels. Prior to this, they worked at the Office of New York Governor, where they served as the Special Counsel to the Governor for Federal Affairs and Director of Government Affairs. In this role, Cochran led a team of experts and served as the primary liaison to the White House and Cabinet Departments. Alexander also has experience as a Counselor at BGR Group, where they represented various clients and focused on government relations. With Westin Rinehart Group, LLC, Cochran served as President and COO, leading corporate operations and managing government affairs. Alexander also has experience as a Principal at Dewey Square Group, where they represented Fortune 500 companies and nonprofits in government relations. Cochran began their career at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, serving as a Senior Advisor & Deputy Counselor to the Secretary. In this role, they advised the Secretary, served as a liaison to mayors and county officials, and organized major events.

Alexander Cochran, ESQ obtained a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from Southwestern Law School. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Georgia - Franklin College of Arts and Sciences.
