Jayan Nagendran is a highly accomplished medical professional currently serving as the Director of Cardiac Surgery and Surgical Director of Lung Transplantation at the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, University of Alberta, since July 2011, where Jayan also holds the positions of Associate Professor and previously Assistant Professor. Jayan is the Chief Medical Officer at Bridge to Life Ltd. since November 2020 and Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer at Tevosol, Inc. since June 2015. As a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Cardiac Surgery since July 2009, Jayan has also held roles as Clinical Instructor in Cardiothoracic Surgery and Cardiothoracic Transplant Fellow at Stanford University from July 2009 to June 2011. Jayan's educational background includes a PhD in Experimental Medicine and an MD from the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, University of Alberta, alongside a residency in Cardiac Surgery.
