Johan Hesse has extensive experience in the cybersecurity industry, primarily with secunet Security Networks AG. Johan began their career in 1999 as a Senior Consultant and Deputy Head of Branch, where they gained a strong understanding of high-assurance crypto devices. From 2001 to 2006, they served as the Head of the Branch Office, demonstrating their leadership abilities. Hesse then took on the role of Head of International Sales for the Business Unit "High Security" from 2007 to 2017, expanding the company's business with crypto products and establishing new sales channels. In 2018, they were promoted to Managing Director of secunet International GmbH & Co. KG, responsible for developing and expanding the company's business activities into Europe and abroad. In July 2023, Hesse joined Tenzir as the Managing Director (COO, VP Sales), utilizing their extensive industry knowledge and experience to contribute to the company's success.

Johan Hesse began their education at the University of Hamburg in 1992 and completed their studies in 1999, earning a Diplom in Mathematics. In 1995, they briefly attended L'Università per Stranieri - Perugia to study Italian Language, with a focus on Technical, Business, and Juridical Profiles. Prior to their university education, from 1990 to 1992, Johan undertook a program at the Hamburgische Landesbank where they attained a degree as a Bankkaufmann.
