Lloyd Shiels has worked in a variety of roles over the past eight years. In 2012 and 2013, they worked as Event Staff for Web Summit. In 2014, they worked as a Project Management Intern (University) for the Dublin Airport Authority (DAA). In 2015, they worked as a Software Test Analyst for IBM. In 2016, they were a Technical Support Consultant for Adobe. Since 2017, they have been a Network Operations Center Engineer for Telnyx, providing clients with access to voice services over the internet.

Lloyd Shiels received their Bachelor's Degree in Enterprise Computing from Dublin City University in 2015. Lloyd had previously obtained an Associate's Degree in Computer Technology/Computer Systems Technology from the National College of Ireland in 2010. Lloyd also attended Sutton Park Secondary School from 2002 to 2008.
