Paul D. Cavnaugh

Executive Vice President, Business Strategy & Transformation at Techstra Solutions

Paul D. Cavnaugh has extensive work experience in various executive roles within the technology and information technology sectors. Starting in 1994, they worked as a Senior Systems Engineer at AT&T Global Information Solutions, where they managed local and wide area networks. Paul D. then moved on to R.R. DONNELLEY & SONS COMPANY, where they served as the Senior Technical Manager for the replacement of the Corporate U.S. financial business system. In 2000, Cavnaugh joined Aon as the Director of Information Technology, overseeing global service management and the infrastructure product portfolio. Paul D. later worked at Velocity Technology Solutions as the Senior Vice President of Global Shared Services and Interim CIO for Billabong. During their tenure at Billabong, they served as the Global Chief Information Officer, leading digital transformation initiatives and overseeing IT strategy. After leaving Billabong, Cavnaugh held executive positions at AvidXchange, Inc. as the Chief Information Officer, PDC Consulting Solutions as the Chief Information Officer/Chief Technology Officer, and Gartner as an Executive Partner. Paul D. is currently the EVP of Business Strategy & Transformation at Techstra Solutions. Additionally, Cavnaugh served on the CIO Advisory Board for the Charlotte CIO Leadership Association and was a finalist for the 2017 CharlotteCIO Of The Year Award.

Paul D. Cavnaugh obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Finance, and Management Information Systems from the University at Buffalo School of Management, The State University of New York, from 1985 to 1990. Paul D. also received a Certificate Degree in Systems Analysis and Design from the University at Buffalo in 1990. Additionally, they completed an internship at BELL AEROSPACE / TEXTRON Corporation during the same year. Paul D. Cavnaugh has an additional certification in ITIL 4.0 Foundations from Pink Elephant.
