Peter Cheng attended UCLA from 1997 to 2001, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Computer Science, and Business. In 2005, they enrolled at Pepperdine Graziadio Business School, earning a Master of Business Administration degree in Business Administration, Management, and Operations in 2006. In 2013, they obtained a Certificate in Project Management from Caltech.
