Mahdy Shirdel is an accomplished leader in machine learning with extensive experience in developing innovative solutions across various sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Machine Learning at Taskrabbit, Mahdy leads teams to create advanced marketplace optimization services, focusing on semantic search and dynamic pricing. Previously, as a Senior Manager at Beyond Limits, Mahdy directed cross-functional engineering activities and spearheaded research projects on machine learning topics in collaboration with Caltech. Mahdy's career also includes significant roles at Chevron, where expertise in data science and fiber optics surveillance was demonstrated. Mahdy holds a PhD and a Master's degree in Computational Fluid Dynamics from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology.
