Brian McEllin currently serves as the Lead Scientist at Talus Bio, a position held since April 2022. Prior to this role, Brian was a Research Scientist at Swedish from February 2017 to April 2022 and a Postdoctoral Researcher at Children's National Health System from May 2013 to August 2016, contributing original research on oligodendrocyte development and remyelination under the mentorship of Vittorio Gallo, PhD. Brian's research accomplishments include publications in reputable journals and a presentation at the Cold Spring Harbor Meeting in 2014. Earlier academic pursuits include a postdoctoral position at UT Southwestern Medical Center, focusing on glial development and adult neurogenesis, culminating in a PhD in Cancer Biology from UT Southwestern (2006-2012) and a Post Master's Certificate in Sequence Analysis and Genomics from The Johns Hopkins University (2020-2022). Brian holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Duke University (2002-2006).
