Timothy Foster is a highly experienced mechanical design engineer currently serving as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at TAIT since September 2015, where Timothy contributes to the design and delivery of premier live event equipment. As the founder and director of Duck in a Hat Theatre, established in 2014, Timothy successfully produced a sell-out production of Terry Pratchett’s Eric at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2015. Previously, Timothy worked as a Stress Engineer at Assystem UK, where Timothy conducted safety verification analyses, and served as a Lab Demonstrator at Durham University's School of Engineering and Computing Sciences during their Ph.D. studies in Computational Mechanics. Additionally, Timothy has freelance experience in sound and lighting installation for corporate events and festivals. Timothy holds a Ph.D. and a Master’s Degree in Engineering from Durham University, further underlining a strong academic background in the field.
