Paul Fuchs has a diverse range of work experience in the biotechnology and research field. Paul is currently working as a Senior Research Associate at Sutro Biopharma, Inc. since March 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Bolt Threads where they held multiple roles including Fermentation Associate from October 2020 to March 2022, Operations Associate from October 2019 to October 2020, and Laboratory Technician from May 2019 to October 2019. Paul also worked as a Mentored Research Student at Colorado College in October-November 2018 and November-December 2017. In addition, they gained experience as a Brewery Intern at 21st Amendment Brewery from May 2017 to August 2018, a Barista/Cashier at Equator Coffees in June-August 2016, and a Research Assistant Intern at DuPont Pioneer in June-August 2015. Paul also served as a Lab Technician Intern at Taxon Biosciences, Inc. in June-August 2014 and completed an internship at San Francisco's Department of the Environment in June-August 2013.

Paul Fuchs attended Colorado College from 2014 to 2018, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Molecular Biology. In 2020, they completed an online course on Industrial Biotechnology through edX.
