Rebaz Ahmed has a wealth of work experience, beginning in 2011 as a Guest Lecturer at the Polytechnic University of Sulaimani. In 2012, they were a Research Associate at the Kurdistan Institution for Strategic Studies & Scientific Research, and a Guest Lecturer at the University of Sulaimani. In 2014, they were a Fulbright Research Scholar at the Fulbright Program and an IFA Research Scholar at IFA (Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen). In 2015, they were a Ph.D Candidate and Ph.D at the Stephenson Cancer Center. In 2017, they were a Ph.D Candidate at the Department of Pathology at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center. In 2019, they were a Novartis Quantitative Science Hackathon Scholar at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR). Most recently, they have been a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at IBBR Institute for Bioscience and Biotechnology Research since 2021, and a Senior Scientist at Gennao Bio since 2021.
Rebaz Ahmed has a strong educational background. Rebaz obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biology, General from the University of Sulaimani between 2001 and 2005. Rebaz then went on to earn a Master of Science in Biotechnology from Fergusson College between 2008 and 2011. Most recently, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in Pathology-Cancer biology from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center between 2015 and 2020.
