Angela Wu has a diverse work experience in the legal field. Angela is currently serving as the Vice President of Legal at SuperOrdinary since October 2021. Previously, they worked at Liberty Mutual Insurance as an Underwriting Counsel specializing in Mergers & Acquisitions from September 2019 to October 2021. Prior to that, they were a Legal Fellow at Liberty Shared (formerly Liberty Asia) from February 2019 to August 2019. Angela also worked as a Protection Associate at UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, from August 2018 to February 2019. Angela began their career as an Associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP from August 2015 to July 2018. Angela gained valuable experience as a Summer Associate at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP in 2014 and as a Law Clerk at the U.S. Attorney's Office of the Southern District of Texas in 2013. Angela also served as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Judge Gray Miller of the U.S. District Court in the Southern District of Texas in 2013.
Angela Wu obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English and Psychology from Rice University in 2012. Angela then went on to attend the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School from 2012 to 2015, where they earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree. In 2015, Angela Wu also obtained a Certificate in Management from The Wharton School. In addition to their education, they are certified as an Attorney by the State Bar of Texas. Angela also holds certifications in "Basic Security in the Field" and "Identifying Refugees in Need of Resettlement" from UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency.
