Rusty Cousins has over 30 years of work experience, primarily in program management. Rusty worked as a Senior Program Manager at Sumaria Systems, Inc. since 2018. Prior to that, Rusty held the role of SME Program Manager at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio from 1990 to 2017.

Rusty Cousins completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from The University of Southern Mississippi, attending from 1976 to 1979. Prior to this, they attended North Yarmouth Academy from 1967 to 1971, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned. Later, in 1985 to 1986, Rusty earned a Master of Science degree in Public Administration from Troy University.
