Frank Proulx, PhD, is currently a Principal Data Scientist at StreetLight since June 2024, previously serving as Data Science Manager at UrbanFootprint from January 2021 to June 2024. In prior roles, Frank held the position of Data Science Practice Lead at Toole Design Group, where responsibilities included overseeing data science projects and supporting staff development, and worked as a Senior Planner/Researcher at Alta Planning + Design, focusing on bicycle and pedestrian planning initiatives. Early career experiences include research roles at SafeTREC, UC Berkeley, and Graduate Student Instructor positions at both UC Berkeley and UC Santa Cruz, alongside a consultancy role at Vehicle Data Science. Frank holds a PhD in Civil & Environmental Engineering and additional degrees in City and Regional Planning, as well as Physics and Environmental Studies.
