Al Tindall has extensive work experience in various roles within the commercial field. Al began their career at Carillion as a Quantity Surveyor, where they dealt with change management, cost control, and contract advice. Al then joined Stobart Rail as a Senior Quantity Surveyor and Estimator, managing commercial aspects of railway projects and generating tender opportunities. Tindall later moved to Stobart Infrastructure as a Commercial Project Manager, overseeing estates portfolio management and commercial control of land developments. Currently, they are working at Story Homes, where they have held positions as Commercial Manager, Head of Commercial, and Associate Commercial Director. In these roles, Tindall focused on implementing change, improving cost control, and introducing new commercial tools and practices to drive profit.

Al Tindall's education history includes a PgDip in Quantity Surveying from the University of Salford in Salford, Greater Manchester, which they obtained from 2007 to 2009. During this time, their studies focused on Quantity Surveying and commercial management. Prior to that, from 2002 to 2005, they attended Sheffield Hallam University, where they received a BSc in Sports Technology. Their field of study during this period was sport equipment design.
