Justine Tashiro is an experienced educator with a diverse background in teaching and curriculum development. Currently an Adjunct Instructor at Glendale Community College, Justine teaches undergraduate courses in Education, focusing on special education and elementary education, and has created the curriculum for the Introduction to Elementary Education course. As an Associate Grant Writer at STEAM:CODERS, Justine coordinates K-12 classes and manages communications with families. Previous experience includes teaching 1st and 2nd grades at Doshisha University and serving as a Kindergarten Teacher for Miami-Dade County Public Schools, where Justine focused on enhancing educational outcomes for students. Justine's foundational experience as a Paraprofessional Tutor at the Hawaii State Department of Education involved working directly with special needs students. Justine holds a Master of Education from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
