Job description

The General Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of Stardock's studio, ensuring that projects are on track and aligned with the company’s strategic objectives. This role involves coordinating between the different studio heads, managing resource allocation, and driving operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the gaming industry and excellent leadership skills. This is a salaried, full-time position at our Plymouth, Michigan office.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage the overall operations of Stardock, ensuring alignment with company-wide strategic objectives.

  • Collaborate closely with studio heads to guarantee that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

  • Oversee resource allocation, including staffing, budgeting, and facilitating cross-studio collaboration.

  • Implement and maintain operational processes to enhance efficiency and productivity across studios.

  • Act as a liaison between the executive team and studio heads, ensuring clear communication and strategic execution.

Education and/or Experience Desired:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Extensive experience in operations management within the gaming or entertainment industry.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Proven ability to drive operational efficiency and align teams with strategic goals.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Passion for video games and a deep understanding of gaming culture.
