Mr. Werner has 25+ years of experience in evaluating business objectives and structuring, negotiating and closing complex strategic transactions. From 2007 – 2011, Kevin served as SVP of Corporate Development & Strategy for VeriSign, Inc., during which time he sold 15+ non-strategic business units and generated more than $2B cash proceeds.
From 2004 – 2007, Kevin served as SVP, Strategic Development Activities at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) where he was responsible for acquisitions, strategic investments, divestitures, and joint ventures.
From 2000-2004, Kevin was President and Managing Director of SAIC Venture Capital Corporation, where he managed a $1.3 billion corporate VC fund with a portfolio of over 60 investments in early stage technology companies
Kevin joined SAIC as Associate General Counsel in 1995. Prior to SAIC, Kevin spent 10 years at the San Diego law firm Seltzer Caplan McMahon & Vitek, becoming a partner in 1990.
Kevin received a J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1985 and a B.A in Political Science from The George Washington University in 1982.
