Dr. Salam Iriqat has extensive work experience in the medical field. Dr.Salam Iriqat started their career in 2008 at St. John Eye Hospital as a Uveitis Specialist and later became an Ophthalmologist and Uveitis & Medical Retina Consultant. In 2021, they joined St. John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital Group as a Clinical Research Coordinator and then became the SJEHG Research Lead & Clinical Research Coordinator. Dr.Salam Iriqat also worked as a Medical Doctor at Oyooni Medical Center. Currently, Dr. Iriqat is an Assistant Professor at Al-Quds University.
Dr. Salam Iriqat graduated from the University of Jordan in 2006 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree in Medicine. In 2012-2013, they pursued a fellowship in ophthalmology with a focus on uveitis and oncology at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. In 2017-2018, they furthered their education with a fellowship in ophthalmology at Tel Aviv University, specializing in medical retina, uveitis, and ocular imaging. Dr. Iriqat also completed their secondary school education at Jericho Secondary School, where they studied to become an ophthalmologist and uveitis specialist at the University of Jordan's medical school.
