Ruth Prof. Dr. Ladenstein

Ruth Prof. Dr. Ladenstein has extensive work experience in the field of pediatric oncology. Ruth began their career in 1982 as a Consultant at St. Anna Children's Hospital. In 1996, they became the Head of the Clinical Trials Unit at the Children's Cancer Research Institute, where they also served as the Director. From 2006 onwards, they were the Chair of the Austrian Haemato-Oncology Group, and in 2009, they became the President of both SIOPE - European Society for Paediatric Oncology and the SIOPEN European SIOP Neuroblastoma Group. Ruth was also a member of the Oncology Advisory Board at the Ministry of Health Austria. Most recently, in 2017, they took on the role of Coordinator for the European Reference Network for Paediatric Cancer (ERNPaedCan). Apart from their clinical work, in 2019, they became an Expert Board Member at the European Commission.

Ruth Prof. Dr. Ladenstein completed their education as follows:

From 1975 to 1982, they attended the Medical University of Vienna, where they obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with a focus on Medizin.

In 1989, they pursued further studies at the Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, earning a DISC- Diplome interuniversitaire de spécialité complementaire de cancerologie.

In 1992, they obtained a Speciality diploma of paediatrics from the Austrian Medicine Association, although the start year for this education is not specified.

In 2006, they enrolled at WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) and completed a Diplom in Internationales Projektmanagement.

In 2007, they attended the Paris Lodron Universität Salzburg, where they received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in International Health Care Management.

Also in 2007, they acquired a Diplom as a Senior Project Manager, Certification IPMA-Level B from Project Management Austria.

Overall, Ruth Prof. Dr. Ladenstein has an extensive education background in various fields such as Medicine, Cancerology, Pediatrics, Project Management, and International Health Care Management.
