As a senior data scientist, Matt is responsible for building the digital tools and formulas to process the big data collected by SpeedGauge. Additionally, he oversees the data analytics underpinning SpeedGauge’s pioneering FAIR Score-driven risk index which enables innovative risk benchmarking programs for the commercial auto insurance industry.

Prior to SpeedGauge, Matt worked in the healthcare field for over 10 years, where he served in a number of roles and organizations, including a state government agency, a public health survey, and a research hospital. He has extensive research and development experience in complex, highly regulated data ecosystems. Matt earned his Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
