Louise Umutoni-Bower has worked in International Development and Public Policy for many years. She has also worked in academia with institutions such as the University of Manchester and Princeton University. She has a Masters of Science Degree in African Studies, with a focus on African politics, from the University of Oxford. She also has a Bsc in Politics and Communications from the University of Ottawa in Canada. Louise is passionate about African knowledge production and established a publishing house called Huza Press that publishes work by African writers. She spends her free time engaging with the African literary community and doing a bit of writing.
