Laurel Peltier Ed.d.

Diagnostician / Educational Team Leader at South Hadley Public Schools

Laurel Peltier, Ed.D., serves as a Curriculum & Instruction Specialist at The Collaborative for Educational Services since July 2016, focusing on professional development for educators and consultation in special education practices. Concurrently, Laurel holds the position of Diagnostician and Educational Team Leader at Amherst Regional High School, specializing in the assessment of students with disabilities. Previously, Laurel was the Special Education Coordinator for South Hadley Public Schools, coordinating services and writing educational plans for students in out-of-district placements. Laurel's career began with overseeing school-based services as a Special Education Administrator at The United Arc of Franklin and Hampshire Counties, where consultation services were developed for including students with severe disabilities. Laurel is a 2nd year doctoral student in Special Education Leadership at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and holds a Master's degree in English Literature/Writing from the University of Rhode Island.
