Ashley Barton, MPH, RD, LDN, serves as a Practice Support and Quality Improvement Consultant at SEAHEC since June 2021. Prior experience includes an Adjunct Faculty position at UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health from December 2020 to July 2021 and a role as Community Diabetes Educator with New Hanover County from January 2019 to June 2021. Ashley held the position of Director of the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program in Brunswick County from July 2015 to January 2019 and worked as a Clinical Pediatric Dietitian in an inpatient setting at UNC Health Care briefly in 2015. Prior roles also include Dietetic Assistant at UNC Health Care and Nutritionist with Cumberland County Health Department. Educational qualifications feature a Master's Degree in Public Health Nutrition from UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health and a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Sciences from North Carolina State University.
