Kara Ramsey is an accomplished professional with over a decade of experience at the South Carolina Ports Authority, currently serving as General Manager of Customer and Data Solutions. In this role, Kara manages customer service for high-profile accounts such as BMW, Nike, and Samsung, while facilitating communication between external customers and operations teams. Previously, Kara held the position of Manager of Cargo Development and Projects, leading initiatives that resulted in over $10 billion in new investments for port-dependent businesses in South Carolina. Prior experience includes serving as Director of Marketing and Communications for the South Carolina Department of Commerce, where Kara spearheaded marketing efforts during a record sales year. Kara holds a BA in Political Science and Business Administration from the College of Charleston.
