Valerie Kinman has over 10 years of work experience. Valerie began their career in 2004 as a Liquidating Manager, Inventory Control Supervisor, and Associate at JoAnn. In 2008, they started their own hobby/arts business, Kinman Studios, where they design and creates glass art. From 2009 to 2018, they worked as a Motorcycle Safety Instructor at Team Oregon and a Customer Service Supervisor at Source Logistics. From 2001 to 2003, they participated in the Summer chemistry research programs at Pacific Lutheran University.

Valerie Kinman attended Clackamas Community College from 1999 to 2000, studying General Studies. Valerie then attended Pacific Lutheran University from 2000 to 2004, earning a BS in Chemistry. Finally, they attended Portland State University from 2007 to 2010, earning a BS in Science with a Chemistry and Math emphasis.
