Matthias Baumecker is an experienced design professional with a diverse background in innovation, user experience, and product design. Currently serving as Team Lead Innovation and User Experience Manager at sonnen GmbH since August 2022, Matthias has also maintained a freelance design role at Fiz Roy since July 2009, focusing on design research, color and material design, and product design. Previous positions include Advanced Design at Brose Group from November 2016 to August 2022, Head of Product Design and Product Management at MHZ Hachtel GmbH & Co. KG from December 2013 to October 2016, and positions in automotive design at BMW Group Munich and designaffairs GmbH. Matthias holds a Master of Arts in Conceptual Textile Design and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design from Burg Giebichenstein - Hochschule für Kunst und Design Halle.
