Walter Vander Goten has a wealth of experience in various roles and industries. Walter began their career as a Consultant at Computer Task Group in 1997. Walter then joined Arco Information in 1998, where they served as a Project Leader until 2002 and then as Head of Projects until 2006. Following that, Walter worked at Arco Information as the Manager of R&D from 2006 to 2018. Finally, they assumed the role of Chief Innovation Officer at soluz.io in 2018, where they currently work.

Walter Vander Goten began their education in 1992 at KU Leuven, where they pursued a degree in Commercial Engineering. Walter completed their studies in 1997 at the same institution. Following a gap in their education, Walter returned to school in 2012 at Ehsal and obtained a Postgraduate degree in IT Management and Strategy. Walter concluded their studies in 2014. Additionally, in 1992, Walter also attended Sint-Joris Instituut, where they focused on Mathematics and Science.
