Thilo Gans has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. In 2012, they started as a Lehrbeauftragter (lecturer) at Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg, where they taught E-Business topics such as E-Commerce and Online Marketing. In the same year, they also began working as an Unternehmensberater (consultant) and Interim Manager at Dr. Gans Beratung.

In 2013, Thilo Gans became a Vorstand (board member) at ISPEX AG, where they introduced ISPEX Online and PR, and led the relaunch of the company's website. Thilo also built an online system for industrial customers to auction their energy needs.

From 2015 to 2021, Thilo Gans served as the CEO of sea.de GmbH, specializing in AdWords campaigns. Thilo focused on improving campaign performance and optimizing various aspects of the campaigns.

In 2016, they worked as the Head of Online Marketing at 1&1 Internet SE on a freelance interim basis. From 2015 to 2016, they were the Leiter Projekt Anlagecheck (Head of Project Investment Check) at Börsenmedien AG.

Thilo Gans also has experience in the Smart Home industry. From 2017 to 2019, they were the CEO of homeandsmart GmbH, a company dedicated to reporting on Smart Home, IoT, energy, and e-mobility trends.

Since 2019, Thilo Gans has been the CEO of solute GmbH, overseeing billiger.de and shopping.de. Thilo'sresponsibilities include change management, portal development, online marketing, and IT leadership.

Furthermore, Thilo Gans has served as an Aufsichtsratsmitglied (member of the supervisory board) at SVP Deutschland AG from 2020 to 2022.

Throughout their career, Thilo Gans has demonstrated expertise in online marketing, e-commerce, website development, and project management.

Thilo Gans completed their education at Heidelberg University. From 1996 to 2001, they pursued a Diplom course in Volkswirtschaft, Betriebswirtschaft, and Informatik. Later, from 2002 to 2004, they continued their educational journey at the same university and acquired a doctorate degree, Dr. rer. pol., in Wirtschaftswissenschaften.
