Vickie Apostolopoulos

Associate Principal, Chicago at SOLOMON, CORDWELL, BUENZ & ASSOCIATES, INC

Vickie leads the firm’s overall marketing strategy, working to ensure SCB’s continued growth and positioning the firm for success across multiple sectors, nationwide. In addition, she oversees public relations and community engagement for the firm. A self-professed architecture geek, Vickie understands the importance of a sense of place and the responsibility of designers to respect and enhance the cities, communities, and campuses in which they work. Vickie has spearheaded a number of activities within the firm dedicated to fostering a strong design discourse, including weekly pin up critiques, building tours, and staff outings to exhibits and cultural events.

Vickie has spent her 20 year career in the greater arts and design community. Prior to joining SCB, where she initially served as the firm’s Director of University Relations, she held development positions at a variety of esteemed educational and cultural institutions, including the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, the Chicago Architecture Foundation, and the National Trust for Historic Preservation in Washington DC.

Vickie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a member of the AIA Large Firm Roundtable Marketing Committee and SCB’s Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Opportunity Committee. She also serves on the Board of Directors at Legacy Charter School in Chicago’s North Lawndale neighborhood, and is a member of the Chicago Architecture Biennial Society, the National Trust for Historic Preservation, and the Daughters of Evrytania.
