Alexander Finney is an accomplished scientist specializing in molecular biology, currently serving as Team Leader (Molecular) and Scientist at SOLASTA Bio since April 2022. Prior to this role, Alexander held the position of Research Associate at Newcastle University, contributing to a BBSRC-funded project focused on chitinase enzyme escape from Serratia marcescens bacterial cells. Alexander completed a PhD at the University of Dundee, where research centered on biohydrogen production from the plant pathogen Pectobacterium atrosepticum SCRI1043. Experience also includes a PIPS internship at Actelion and involvement in the iGEM Foundation as an instructor. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Molecular Microbiology and a Bachelor of Science with First Class Honours in Molecular Biology from the University of Dundee.
