Ronald Scott is an experienced geologist with a diverse work history. Ronald is currently serving as the Mayor of the Town of Snow Lake, a position they assumed in October 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Chief Geoscientist at Snow Lake Lithium starting in January 2022.
From September 2020 to October 2021, Ronald worked as an Independent Consulting Geologist. Before that, they served as a Military Liason Officer at the 4th Canadian Ranger Patrol Group from April to September 2020, where they facilitated communication between the Town of Snow Lake Emergency Operations Group and the Armed Forces during the pandemic.

Ronald also gained experience as a Hoist Operator at REDPATH MINING from March 2013 to October 2014. Earlier in their career, Ronald held the position of Exploration Manager at Advanced Explorations Inc. from March to December 2012. In this role, they provided field work, advice, and research on various mining projects.
Additionally, Ronald served as the Exploration Manager at VMS Ventures Inc. from August 2007 to January 2012. Ronald was responsible for setting up the Snow Lake field office, organizing core logging and storage facilities, and supervising drilling operations.

Ronald Scott has a strong educational background in geology and earth science. Ronald obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Geology/Earth Science from the University of New Brunswick, where they studied from 1996 to 2001. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science (MS) degree in Geology/Earth Science at the University of Ottawa from 1995 to 1996. Ronald first pursued their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Geology/Earth Science at the University of Ottawa from 1990 to 1995.
In addition to their academic achievements, Ronald Scott also holds several certifications. In 2016, they obtained an Incident Command System certification from the Manitoba Emergency Services College. Ronald also earned a Ground Search and Rescue certification from the same institution in 2013. Furthermore, they are a licensed Professional Geoscientist, having obtained certification from the Engineers Geoscientists of Manitoba in 2010.
