Matthew Fehmel began their work experience as the International Sales Manager at Colt Defense, LLC in 2007. Matthew developed business and maintained accounts in over 60 countries, resulting in over $24.3 million in sales. Matthew also created an organizational system that improved productivity and order accuracy.
From 2011 to 2018, Matthew worked at Colt's Manufacturing Company LLC as the Director of International Sales. Matthew supervised a network of field sales representatives and was responsible for approximately 40% of the company's annual revenue. Matthew successfully penetrated dormant markets and increased sales by 18%.
In 2018, Matthew joined Smith & Wesson as the Senior Director of International Sales. Matthew contributed to the company's history of innovative firearms design and high-quality production.
In 2019, they transitioned to American Outdoor Brands Corporation as the Senior Director of International Sales for the Firearms Division. In 2020, they continued this role at Smith & Wesson Brands Inc.
Alongside their corporate career, Matthew served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve from 1992 to 2016. Matthew achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) and commanded a 100-man unit during combat operations in Iraq.
Matthew also served on the Board of Directors for the World Affairs Council of Connecticut from 2015 to 2019.
Matthew Fehmel's education history includes attending the Moses Brown School from 1988 to 1992. Matthew then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology at the University of Rhode Island from 1992 to 1996. In 1997, Matthew attended the USMC - The Basic School, focusing on leadership. Matthew further pursued education in leadership by attending the US Army - Armor Captain's Career Course in 2004. Finally, from 2008 to 2010, Matthew attended the USMC Command and Staff College, specializing in Political Science with a focus on Strategy and Policy.
