Junnan Geng has a diverse work experience in the field of cell biology and scientific research. They began their career as a Graduate Student at Huazhong Agricultural University from 2013 to 2016. During this time, they gained experience in their role as a Graduate Student.
After completing their studies, they joined Dakewe Medical Inc as a Sales Support Specialist from 2016 to 2017. In this role, they provided technical support for technology products and services, assisted with marketing activities, and helped identify potential customers.
Following their time at Dakewe Medical Inc, they worked as a Graduate Student at Utah State University from 2017 to 2021. Here, they assisted in building a start-up lab, focusing on cell culture and molecular biology. They conducted various research projects such as studying cancer stem cells and differentiating human stem cells into neurons. They also utilized machine learning-based analysis and genetic detection methods for their research.
In 2021, they joined Berkeley Lights as a Scientist. In this role, they worked on cell therapy, culture of primary cells, T cell sorting, activation, transduction, and TCRseq. They also contributed to the development of a cell therapy manufacturing system and the production of tumor organoids.
Most recently, they joined Slingshot Biosciences as a Cell Biologist in 2022.
From 2017 to 2021, Junnan Geng pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biological/Biosystems Engineering at Utah State University.
