Sandra Illi Villarreal is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in documentation engineering and developer advocacy at Slack since June 2018. Initially starting as a Developer Advocate and progressing to Senior Manager, Documentation Engineering, Sandra has played a key role in support and community-building as the co-lead of Earthtones, Slackā€™s first Employee Resource Group for people of color. Prior to Slack, Sandra held project management positions at Seven25. Design & Typography, Inc. and Ubertor.com, while also contributing as a content strategist and corporate blog specialist. Sandra's early career included internships and research roles at Yulu Public Relations Inc. and The University of British Columbia, where Sandra earned a Bachelor of Arts in German Studies and Sociology. Sandra also holds a Certificate in Full-Stack Web Development from BrainStation and a Digital Marketing Foundation certificate from RED Academy, along with a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Freiburg in German Studies.
