Julie Gardener is an experienced aviation professional currently serving as a Theoretical Knowledge Instructor ATPL TKI at Skyborne since September 2020, specializing in subjects including Aviation Meteorology, Pilot Human Performance, Aviation Communications, and Air Law. With a background as a Freelance Aviation English Teacher and Teacher of English for Speakers of Other Languages since July 2015, Gardener has also held the position of Aviation Theoretical Knowledge Instructor at L3Harris Technologies from September 2018 to July 2020. Prior experience includes serving as a pilot for an airline from 2001 to 2002 and as a pilot in the Royal Air Force from 1984 to 2001, where roles included C-130 Pilot Captain and various engineering officer positions. Gardener holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Aeronautical Engineering from City, University of London and an Aeroplane ATPL(A) from the CAA, with ongoing education at Syracuse University.
