Dana Strong

Group Chief Executive Officer at Sky Group

Dana became Group Chief Executive of Sky in 2021. She has led transformation and growth for many of the world’s largest media and telecommunication companies spanning three continents. Over more than 20 years, she has managed both cable and satellite businesses and is recognized for her track record for accelerating growth.

Prior to her current role, Dana was President, Consumer Services for Comcast Cable, the largest broadband and PayTV operator in the United States with over 30 million customers and $58B in revenue. Here she led the company’s residential business including Comcast’s Xfinity brand and products with its award-winning portfolio of video, broadband, voice, security and mobile products as well as the marketing, sales, digital, and data intelligence groups. During her tenure, these businesses achieved record subscriber and broadband growth and the company’s highest levels of customer satisfaction.

Before joining Comcast, Dana served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Virgin Media and Chief Transformation Officer of Liberty Global, a European cable company with 27 million customers in 14 countries. In addition, Dana held numerous leadership roles in Europe and Australia, including Chief Executive Officer of UPC Ireland (now Virgin Media Ireland) and Chief Operating Officer of Austar United Communications in Australia.

Dana has driven Comcast’s digital equity efforts through Internet Essentials, the nation’s largest broadband adoption program, which has connected 8 million low-income families to the Internet for the first time. She also served on the Economic and Community Advisory Council for the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. Previously, Dana served as the Chairman of the Telecommunications and Internet Federation in Ireland.

Dana has been honored with many business and industry awards for her leadership and has held several board positions.

Dana holds a dual degree from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the College of Arts and Sciences.
