Dehan Hong currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer at the Singapore Civil Defence Force since May 2023 and has been a Flight Doctor, Acupuncturist, and Head of Medical Operations with the Republic of Singapore Air Force since August 2010. Previously, Dehan held the position of Head of Healthcare Policy at the Ministry of Defence of Singapore from May 2022 to May 2023 and served as the Commanding Officer of 1 Medical Squadron, RSAF, from April 2018 to July 2020. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the National University of Singapore, a Diploma in Aviation Medicine from King's College London, a Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine from the National University of Singapore, a Graduate Diploma in Acupuncture from the Singapore College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and a Specialist Diploma in Agritechnology and Agribusiness from Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
