Pete Hawkes is an experienced design professional currently serving as the Head of Web and Design at Sigma Computing since February 2024. Prior to this role, Pete worked as the Head of Design at Daily, leading a rebranding and web migration project. Key past positions include Service Design Director at Pegasystems, overseeing design thinking engagements, and SVP of Design, Product, and Engineering at Oblong Inc., where Pete managed remote collaboration products and business development strategies. Additional roles include Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Southern California, Physical Computing Instructor at UCLA Extension, and various design and development positions at notable firms such as Nokia and Novell. Pete holds an MFA in Design Media Arts from UCLA and a BFA in Graphic Design from Brigham Young University.
