Nancy Winchester, Ph.D., MSETM has extensive work experience in various roles related to research, development, and innovation. Nancy is currently serving as the Director of Research Development, Rubber and Adhesives at SI Group, a position they have held since May 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Momentive as the Global Technology Manager - Tire and Rubber Silanes from May 2019 to May 2023.

Before these roles, Winchester worked at DanChem as the Vice President - Technology and Innovation from January 2018 to May 2019, where they managed a pipeline of new custom chemical manufacturing projects and supervised research engineers and a chemical analysis laboratory. Nancy also initiated continuous improvement projects to streamline workflows throughout the organization.

From April 2015 to January 2018, Winchester served as the Vice President - R&D Solutions at the Research & Development Corporation of Newfoundland & Labrador. In this role, they developed and managed a harsh environment material testing research facility, forged alliances with commercial, academic, and government partners, and served on the Management Committee.

Winchester's experience at Chevron includes various roles such as Atlantic Canada R&D Advisor from June 2012 to April 2015, Alliance Manager from August 2009 to June 2012, Senior Divisional Consultant and Alliance Manager from January 2009 to July 2009, and Alliance Manager from October 2006 to December 2008. Nancy managed third-party research portfolios, directed development projects, managed budgets, and implemented cost-saving measures.

Prior to their work at Chevron, Winchester held positions at Phillips Petroleum Company as a Research Chemist from July 1995 to December 1999 and at Indiana University as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant from August 1994 to July 1995.

Throughout their career, Winchester has demonstrated strong leadership abilities, business development skills, and expertise in research and development. Nancy has experience in managing teams, developing innovative technologies, and forging strategic partnerships.

Nancy Winchester, Ph.D., MSETM holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Chemistry from The University of Kansas, which they completed from 1990 to 1994. Nancy also obtained a Post-doctoral Researcher position in Inorganic Chemistry at Indiana University Bloomington from 1994 to 1995. Prior to that, Nancy completed coursework toward a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemistry at the University of Toronto, Toronto, from 1986 to 1989. Nancy later pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Engineering and Technology Management at Oklahoma State University, completing it between 1998 and 2000.

Nancy Winchester has also obtained various certifications, including "Embracing a Growth Mindset - Overcoming Female Leadership Challenges" from UC Berkeley Executive Education in 2023 and "Practicing Inclusive Innovation" from The Ivey Academy at Ivey Business School in 2022.
