From 2009 to 2010, Jimmy was actively involved in the Travel Committee and served as the Chairman of Study Association POLIS, organizing a trip to Morocco for 30 students. Jimmy also held the position of Board Member, coordinating activities and managing the association's contact with bookshops.
In 2009, Jimmy worked as a Researcher at Loyalis, conducting research for the Dutch board of Secondary Education. The focus was on assessing a new reintegration program for incapacitated employees.
