Romain Terazzi has extensive work experience in research and development roles. Romain is currently working as a Senior Research And Development Engineer at Sensirion since July 2023. Prior to that, they held the same position at IRsweep from February 2022 to July 2023. Romain also has experience in machine learning, data science, coding, and quantum cascade lasers, which they gained during their time freelancing from November 2020 to February 2022. Before that, they worked as a Machine Learning Researcher at anyquantum sàrl from September 2017 to November 2020. Their work at the start-up involved utilizing a novel fractal algebraic construction to enforce chaotic behavior while maintaining structured propagation. Romain started their career as a Senior Scientist at Alpes Lasers from November 2011 to August 2016.

Romain Terazzi obtained a Master's degree in Symmetry breaking in gravitational models from the University of Neuchâtel between 1998 and 2004. Subsequently, they pursued a PhD at ETH Zürich from 2007 to 2011, specializing in the field of Transport in Quantum Cascade Lasers.
