Bob Cortes is an experienced professional currently serving as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Seminole State College of Florida and as a Senior Administrator for Government & Community Affairs at the Seminole County Sheriff's Office since January 2019. Additionally, Cortes has held the position of Vice Chair on the Board of Trustees at Seminole State College of Florida since August 2019 and co-founded Cortrans in May 2011, which provides reliable transportation services in the Orlando area. Bob Cortes previously served as a State Representative for Florida's District 30 from November 2014 to November 2018, and has held local leadership roles including Mayor and City Commissioner for the City of Longwood from 2009 to 2014. With a background in entrepreneurship through Cortes Towing Service, founded in 1989, as well as experience in warehouse operations, Bob Cortes has a diverse professional history supported by education from EDP College of Puerto Rico and Cacique Agueybana High School.
