Joe Venables has a diverse work experience in sustainability and consulting roles. Joe is currently working as a Senior Sustainability Consultant at Seismic. Prior to that, they were a Freelance Sustainability Consultant. From 2020 to 2021, they worked as a Sustainability Analyst at CLS Holdings plc, where they prepared sustainability disclosures and set long-term sustainability objectives. Before that, they worked as a Sustainability Consultant at JLL from 2016 to 2020, where they focused on environmental reporting and data analysis. Joe also has experience as a Consultant at StepJockey, where they researched and managed projects related to workplace health and wellness. Joe started their career at the NHS as a Child Health Administrator, where they improved administrative workflows and database skills. Joe also gained experience as an Intern at thinkstep, where they worked on corporate sustainability projects and developed an understanding of international standards. Additionally, Joe worked as a Contract Officer at the UK Ministry of Defence, where they handled procurement contracts and ensured accuracy between physical and digital records.
Joe Venables completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Environmental Geoscience from the University of Bristol from 2010 to 2014. Prior to that, they attended Hereford Sixth Form College from 2008 to 2010. Joe completed their high school education at Fairfield High School from 2003 to 2008. In addition to their formal education, Joe obtained a certification as an IEMA Sustainability Practitioner from IEMA in February 2019.
