Monica Flowers has a diverse range of work experience. Monica started their career as a Programming Intern at the Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts in 2012. From 2011 to 2014, they worked as a Host & Server at the Real Food Cafe. In 2014, they joined Scott Group Studio as a Visual Display & Showroom Coordinator, and worked there until 2017. During this time, they also briefly worked as a Sales Floor Associate at Gazelle Sports in 2017. Monica then moved on to Opuzen in 2018, where they served as a Textile Designer until 2021. Their responsibilities included planning design project stages, collaborating with clients and co-workers, and creating custom artwork based on client specifications. In 2022, they joined Punch Studio as a Designer, and is currently working there.

Monica Flowers completed their Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree in Illustration at Grand Valley State University from 2008 to 2013.
