Christina Embry has a diverse work experience in the field of counseling and education. Christina began their career as a Transition Counselor and Career Specialist at Granada Hills Charter High School, where they developed and delivered curriculum, coordinated parent and student information nights, and obtained paid jobs for students through strong relationships with local employers and agencies. Christina also served as a Student Study Team Coordinator, facilitating meetings and implementing intervention strategies to support students.
Christina then transitioned to various roles at different educational institutions. At C.A.P.E. Camarillo Academy of Progressive Education, they worked as a School Counselor, providing guidance to students on academic and family concerns. At Oxnard College, they served as an Adjunct Academic Counselor and Job Developer, supporting college students in choosing coursework, developing educational plans, and obtaining paid positions.
Christina also worked as an Instructor at Citrus College, teaching a Career and Life Planning course to graduating high school seniors with disabilities. Christina joined Ivy Academy Charter School as a Counselor, where they built and led the counseling program for a K-12 charter school and provided academic counseling and crisis intervention support.
Most recently, Christina has been employed at Savvas Learning Company as a Customer Success Manager, responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction and success. Prior to this role, they worked as an Associate Customer Success Manager at the same company.
Throughout their career, Christina has demonstrated a commitment to client success and has consistently utilized their skills in counseling, mentorship, and curriculum development to provide comprehensive support to learners of all ages.
Christina Embry has a Master's degree in Counselor Education/School Counseling and Guidance Services with a PPS Credential from California Lutheran University. Christina obtained this degree from 2002 to 2005. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development from California State University, Long Beach.
In addition to their formal education, Christina has also obtained various certifications. Christina completed courses such as "Business Fundamentals for Customer Success Managers," "Engagement Evaluation Best Practices for Customer Success Management," "Onboarding and Adoption Best Practices for Customer Success Management," "Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences," "Salesforce Essential Training," "Customer Success Management Fundamentals," "Prepare Yourself for a Career in Sales," and "Project Management Foundations: Requirements" from LinkedIn between 2022 and 2023. Christina also completed a course on "CANVAS" offered by the Ventura County Community College District in December 2018. Furthermore, they participated in a Master Class exploring and advancing best practices in community college disability resource offices conducted by the AHEAD Association on Higher Education And Disability in May 2019. Lastly, they completed Facilitating Career Development Training and obtained a Pupil Personnel Services Credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing in August 2021 and July 2020, respectively.
