Jatinder Bir has a diverse work history spanning several organizations and roles.

Starting in 1999, they worked as a Research Officer at the Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR) for five years.

From 2004 to 2010, they served as a Senior Research Officer at HMRTI Yemen and Saudi Arabia, where they conducted various research studies and generated funds for organizations such as Marie Stopes International and GTZ.

In 2011, Bir worked as an Assistant Professor and Project Manager at the Institute of Health Management Research, where they led a food fortification project and liaised with state officials.

Jatinder then joined Jhpiego in 2013 as a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, responsible for coordinating M&E activities at the state level and establishing systems for project MIS.

Since 2016, Bir has been with Save the Children, India, initially serving as a Senior Manager of Management Information Systems and later taking on the roles of Head of MEAL and Research and Head of MEAL, where they ensure quality evaluations and strengthens the organization's MEAL processes.

Jatinder Bir completed their education at Guru Nanak Dev University from 2007 to 2012, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Economics. Prior to that, Jatinder attended KV No. 2, Amritsar, although specific details about the degree and field of study are not provided.
