Alex Babij P.Eng is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the power distribution field, currently serving as Manager of Distribution Engineering O&M Support at SaskPower since April 2010. Responsibilities include supervising the implementation of distribution automation, overseeing engineering teams addressing power quality issues and reliability troubleshooting, and reviewing reliability scorecards for key accounts. Previously, Alex held roles as Manager of Distribution Engineering O&M North and Apparatus Engineer at SaskPower, engaging in project management, Smart Grid technology piloting, and vendor consulting. Prior experience includes work as a WAES Engineer at Vecima Networks, focusing on WiMAX system deployment and customer support. Alex obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan.
